Dear Owen,
I have never wrote you one of these monthly notes, and I have no idea why I chose your 8th month to start. But, can you believe it??? You have been around for 8 months! Sometimes it feels like 8 days, and sometimes it feels like 88 years, but we are always so happy that you decided to come along.
You have come along way in just 8 short months. And here are a few things we have learned about you in this short time we have spent with you.
*You are snuggly!
Anytime Grandma Barbara sees you she always remarks how cuddly you are. You love to snuggle and scooch up close to whoever is holding you. Recently you have started patting Daddy's face when he holds you. But, your love to snuggle knows no strangers! A few weeks ago at church you threw yourself at some unknown man and then laid your head on his shoulder! No matter how big you get I hope you stay this way.

You are always scoping out your next mess and you don't miss a thing. Now that you are more mobile this has led to a few injuries and spills, but boy are you learning as you go.

It did not take you long to learn to crawl. And now, just around a month later you are already tired of the all fours thing and are working on getting around just on your feet. You pull up with such ease and you are cruising around on all the furniture. We know it is just a matter of time before there is no corralling you at all!

*You are an avid outdoors man & a water rat!
You LOVE outside. Anytime you are being fussy, and lets face it that has been a lot quite recently (Really getting all four top teeth at once??? Such an overachiever!), we take you outside and you are happy as a lark. Your most recent camping adventure was almost all you could ever dream of, if only I would have let go everywhere you wanted! We know you love your baths but I was completely unprepared for how much you loved the water in the great outdoors!

Your personality keeps getting better and better. All the things you are doing these days is unbelievable to me. You wave, high five, click your tongue, definitely express your disapproval at the word no, and you are sneaky! You are getting smarter and smarter everyday. You are so happy and content. You have never met a stranger you didn't like. And you have the ability to make old women, old men, young girls, and young boys fall in love with you with just one of your special smiles.
We can't wait to see what else you have in store for us!
