Cousins

There are times in your life when you really just need someone. I am so thankful that I have such great siblings and someday I hope Owen can say the same thing. I am also really thankful for some really awesome cousins. They are people that I know I can always call on and they will share my hurt or my happiness with me.

When we first found out we were expecting Owen I was excited for a number of reasons, but one thing that had me really excited was knowing that he would have a cousin so close to his age.

The first time that Taylor Grace met her little cousin all of us who witnessed it almost melted because her reaction was so sweet. She was so excited and could not wait to get her hands on him!

As the weeks have went by their recognition and awareness of each other becomes more sweet and more hilarious. Owen loves to look at Taylor and Taylor loves to grab, lick, kick Owen (all in a loving manner, of course!).


Last Friday the crazy duo went and had Christmas photos taken in their super cute Christmas outfits their Grandma Barbara bought them. The photographer did not know what she was in for! Taking a photo of a 2 1/2 month old and a 8 1/2 month old proved to be VERY challenging! The efforts of the photographer, Chelsy, and myself ultimately paid off and we got a keeper!

I cannot wait to watch them grow together. It makes me smile and laugh when I think of all the great adventures they will have together. And it makes my heart warm to know that they both have a special person they will be able to call on, no matter what.
